I'll try to keep this short...
HOPEFUL
In less than an hour, I'm heading in for another petscan. It's only been 3 months since my last one (usually 6 months apart), but my doctors are monitoring me very closely with these active liver tumors. I'm HOPEFUL my scan shows no further growth, spreading, or new lesions. Speaking of which, I also found out this week that I'm scheduled for the procedure to destroy the liver tumors on January 6th. There are still some major issues with my insurance coverage, however we are opting to move forward as soon as possible. This includes a trip to Seattle to a cancer treatment center next week. Charlie and I leave Sunday for 2 days to see the specialist my oncologists referred me to. I'm not thrilled about the expense but I'm HOPEFUL it's all worth it.
HELPFUL
This week, I'm thanking God for the HELPFUL friends we have supporting us and loving us. They have sacrificed their own time and energy to bless our family. This week alone, I had a friend come help me put up Christmas decorations (yay!) and another has been assisting me in my classes. Such a huge help!
HAPPY
It took me awhile, but I think it's safe to say I'm HAPPY to only have one class left in my studio. It's been bittersweet coming to this point but I'm looking forward to what the new year brings as I adjust to this next stage with my business. We will be packing everything up the week after Christmas so I don't have to worry about it when I'm in the hospital.
